By using the Service you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described. If you do not consent, please do not use the Service.
3. Categories of Personal Data We Collect
- Account Data: phone number, email, display name, profile details, preferred language, short bio.
- Identity & KYC Data (Companions & certain partners): government ID, photograph, address proof, DOB.
- Usage & Technical Data: device identifiers, IP address, app logs, session timestamps, feature usage metrics.
- Content Data: text, audio or video shared during sessions (only stored/transcribed with explicit consent).
- Payments & Billing: payment tokens, billing email, transaction records (full card data handled by payment processors).
- Support & Incident Data: communications with support and incident reports.
- Analytics & Cookies: cookies, tracking pixels and analytics identifiers.
4. How We Use Data
We use data to:
- provide, operate and improve the Service;
- verify identity and perform KYC for Companions;
- match users to companions and optimize matching algorithms;
- maintain safety, moderation, and fraud prevention;
- process payments, credits, partner settlements and refunds;
- communicate updates and transactional messages;
- conduct anonymized research and product analytics; and
- comply with legal obligations.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
We rely on contractual necessity (to provide the Service), consent (for optional features like recordings or marketing), legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, product improvement), and legal obligations.
6. Session Recordings & Consent
Sessions are not recorded by default. If recording/transcription is available, explicit consent from all participants is required prior to starting. Consent is logged. If you opt-in to anonymized clips for marketing or research, we will obtain explicit consent for each use.
7. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We may share data with:
- service providers: payment processors, background-check vendors, cloud hosting and analytics providers (under contract and security safeguards);
- partner venues and event organizers, only as necessary for delivery of the partnered service (e.g., to redeem a partner credit);
- law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety;
- with your explicit consent, anonymized or aggregated data for research or marketing.
We do not sell your personal data.

We retain personal data as long as necessary to provide the Service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements. KYC and accounting records are kept per statutory requirements and internal retention policy.

MURM exists to create safe, respectful spaces for human connection. These guidelines apply to all users, companions (Murmer) and partners.
Core Principles
- Respect & Empathy: Treat others with dignity. Listen actively and without judgment.
- Consent & Boundaries: Ask before recording, remove identifying details when requested, and never pressure another person.
- Safety: No sexual solicitation, exploitation, threats or harassment. Any such behavior is grounds for immediate suspension and referral to authorities.
- Privacy: Do not share other users’ personal information outside the platform.
For Partners & Venues
- Ensure staff understand MURM etiquette and partner redemption processes.
- Provide a neutral, safe space and accessible seating.
- Honor partner credit redemption and settlement terms per the Partner Agreement.
Reporting & Enforcement
Report issues via in-app Report or Escalate. MURM will review, act, and notify affected parties. Violations may lead to warnings, suspension, permanent ban, and legal action.
